Service Update 5/23/2020
We are so excited the country is moving closer to the day when we can safely meet together as a church body. We will be closely monitoring the advice and recommendations of our federal and state governments and the health experts. Your safety and the safety of our community are our first priority as we plan our opening. We’ll be keeping you informed of our progress. In the meantime, watch us Sunday at 10 a.m. online.
Service Update 3/14/2020
Coronavirus Letter
Hello Crossroads Family,
In light of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we want to make you aware of some decisions our leadership team have made to protect our Crossroads family and the community. Even though we fall under the 250 person gathering threshold suggested by Governor Murphy, we feel it is in the best interest of all to suspend our Sunday morning services and all weekly activities at Crossroads until further notice.
This Sunday, we encourage you to take advantage of the online tools already available to you on our website and our YouTube channel (see below for these links). We will be working on publishing new worship experiences for you to enjoy online during this interruption to our normal schedule.
We are called to be a people who walk by faith and not be governed by fear. Let me remind you what the apostle Paul says in 2 Timothy 1:7, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” Keep in mind that God is not surprised by what is happening in our world today and He is still in control! Let’s look at this as an opportunity for the church to shine even brighter by showing that we have the peace of God that passes all understanding. The church is not a building – it is a body of many members.
Believe me when I say, this has been a very tough decision for me and the leadership team to make but it is being done to ensure your health and safety and out of our love and concern for you. We encourage you to follow the health and safety guidelines outlined by the CDC and our state and local government. We will be watching this situation very closely and will keep you informed of our plans moving forward.
Let me leave you with one more promise from God’s word. King David says in Psalm 27:5, “For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock.”
Thank you for your understanding and please take this opportunity to pray for God to give wisdom and guidance to all our leaders and for a quick end to this worldwide emergency.
May the Lord bless you and keep you,
Pastor Steve Spadaro
